Ovation Music Studio is currently serving Nassau and western Suffolk counties on Long Island. If you live outside of these areas and are interested in our services, contact us to see if we can accommodate.

For piano lessons, we typically recommend waiting until a child is at least 5 or 6 and can easily recognize symbols, letters and numbers. Please note that your child will be expected to focus for at least a 30 minute lesson. For voice lessons, the answer is a little more complicated. Many students start around the age of twelve, but we've had interested students as young seven. Since the voice takes years to develop physically, many voice lessons for anyone younger than 12 or 13 will be primarily focused on general music (learning to read music, learning solfege/sight singing etc.). Our main focus is to instill a healthy, age appropriate singing technique.

After your first lesson, we will send you an invoice via email. This can be paid online using Paypal, Credit or Debit Card. You pay for 4 lessons up front, and after you've taken those four lessons, we'll send you a new invoice for the next four.

24-hour notice is reqired to change or cancel any lesson. Any cancellations after the 24 hour deadline will be paid in full. Please read our Studio Policies for more details.
